Rail Operations Studies: Identifying and Making Recommendations to Eliminate Key Rail Choke Points - The I-95 Corridor Coalition is assisting its member states in improving transportation across all modes.  The Coalition’s Mid-Atlantic Rail Operations Study (MAROps) was a ground breaking effort involving the states of New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia, along with CSX, Norfolk Southern and Amtrak railroads that undertook the identification, analysis and detailing of transferable methods to assess public benefits of public-private partnerships in financing rail improvements. 

Mid-Atlantic Truck Operations Study (MATOps): Identifying and Analyzing Key Freight Bottlenecks - The Mid-Atlantic Truck Operations Study (MATOps) is a multi-state collaborative effort sponsored by the I-95 Corridor Coalition to address congestion on the region’s main freight highway corridors.  Six Mid-Atlantic states (Delaware, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia), in cooperation with local, regional, and national motor carriers are working together to conduct the MATOps studies.

Operations Academy Senior Management Program: A Total Immersion Transportation Management and Operations Program - The Operations Academy is a two-week, total immersion transportation management and operations program.  It was developed in response to the increasing demand for personnel with skills in these areas.  The program uses a mix of classroom instruction, workshops, and analysis of existing systems to ensure the retention of the principles presented.  The academy provides opportunities to practice and internalize the principles learned - which is not possible in traditional classes and short courses.  

Vehicle Probe Project: Acquiring Travel Times and Speeds Using Probe Technology - This groundbreaking initiative and collaborative effort among the Coalition, University of Maryland and INRIX has been providing continuous and comprehensive real-time travel information for more than two years.  South Carolina and Florida have been added to the core area of New Jersey through North Carolina.

Commercial Vehicle Infrastructure Integration: Supporting Commerce and Improving the Movement of Freight - The I‐95 Corridor Coalition is building upon the national Intellidrive effort by broadening its initial passenger vehicle focus to include heavy vehicles.  Critical to the U.S. economy is the safe, secure, and efficient movement of freight by commercial vehicles on the nation’s transportation infrastructure. Intellidrive applications for commercial vehicles can help enhance this commerce and improve transportation system asset management.
