| END OF PROJECT SUMMARY |
Several meetings were held with Philadelphia Airport and SEPTA personnel to define the system concept, based on what was being developed for the BWI Airport application. Ground transportation data was assembled. The issue of how to best obtain SEPTA trip information was explored, including negotiations with the SEPTA trip planning software vendor. A shell of a Philadelphia system (user input screens based on the BWI application) was prepared for demonstration purposes. |
|
| ACTIONS |
The project was not completed. The reasons included delays in the completion of the BWI Airport application and the need in 2011 to recover funding to support continuing operation of the Coalition as a result of reduced FHWA funding support. The project was also delayed by complications in the negotiations with the SEPTA trip planning itinerary vendor and ensuing discussion re the possible use of information supplied to and available from Google Transit in lieu of an interface to the SEPTA vendor. Lessons include the need to be agile in the face of a rapidly changing technical environment. |
|
| FINAL PROJECT EXPENDITURES |
Original Project Budget: $140,000
Final Project Expenditures: $67,003
Reason for change: Project terminated due to lack of progress and need for Coalition to recover funds to support other projects and ongoing operations in the summer of 2011. |
